Water Filtration
Culligan offers a wide range of technologies, products and services to meet the water quality and quantity needs of our customers with high purity water applications.
Filtration is the process of removing particles from the water, absorbing undesired odors, tastes, colors and organic pollutants, eliminating iron, chlorine, manganese and arsenic, as well as neutralizing the water acidity. Simple in appearance, filtration is in reality a sophisticated water treatment process.
Our industrial filters are entirely manufactured in our Culligan plants. The vessels are made of steel and are protected by anti-corrosion coatings, a heavy layer of resin on the inside, and synthetic paint on the outside. On the industrial filters, the automatic cycles of service and backwash are regulated by a group of hydraulic valves driven by an electronic logic programmer.
Commercial Filtration
Culligan offers a variety of commercial filters to improve your water. All of our filters include:
- Multimedia - Also referred to as Depth Filters, the multi-layer bed provides longer filtration times, and these filters eliminate more solids from water than conventional sand filters.
- Granular-Activated Carbon - While removing chlorine and organic materials from your water, the Cullar®-activated carbon in tehse filters stands up to the abrasion common in this kind of filter.
- Cullsorb® Iron Removal - Two-layer filtration give these filters optimum efficiency. A top layer of anthracite takes care of oxidized particles, a second bed of manganese greens and removes additional particles and chemicals.
- Specially Engineered - Culligan can also provide specially engineered filters for use in many other commercial and industrial applications.
- Advanced Controls - All Culligan filters include the state-of-the-art automatic GBE Controller for precise control of the system.
All of our commercial filters feature superior taste, cost savings, and reduced turbidity and particulate matter. Applications can include industrial processes, boiler pretreatment, food and beverage, and drinking water.
